It was an honour to lay wreaths at the Taibach and Briton Ferry cenotaphs, in memory of the thousands who gave their lives to protect the values that we hold dear. We will remember them.
Over 200 residents came to a public meeting to express their concerns about anti-social behaviour in Briton Ferry to Councillors, Council officers and the police. Agencies and community working in partnership.
I paid a visit to Llansawel Primary in Briton Ferry to chat with the pupils about parliament and life as an MP. The children had lots of interesting questions to ask and learned a lot about life as an MP. It was great to visit the school and to speak with staff.
Stephen Kinnock has visited toilet paper and kitchen roll manufacturer Intertissue on the Baglan Energy Park, which employs nearly 400 people. During the visit Mr Kinnock spoke to the workforce and was shown how they turn base materials like wood and waste paper into paper and eventually into toilet paper and kitchen roll.Read more
Commenting on the news that Cyrus RW have been put into administration, Aberavon MP Stephen Kinnock said:
“It is disappointing to learn of Cyrus RW being placed into administration, and for all of those employed by the company this will be an incredibly worrying time.
“The priority must now be finding a solution that protects the jobs, particularly those in Briton Ferry where I believe there are up to 50 people employed in highly skilled, well paid jobs.
