It was great to take part in the question time event organised by Unison Neath Port Talbot on fair funding for local services. The Council chamber was packed with Councillors and council workers, who are concerned over the levels of funding for local government and what that means for future of our valued and vital services.

Prior to the meeting I joined with Cllr Carol Clement-Williams and Mark Fisher to write for the South Wales Evening Post about the impact of austerity on local services.

I also wrote to the Chancellor calling on the Government to give local government a fair funding deal in the autumn budget. You can read my letter here and the response I received here.
