I was delighted to join with the Port Talbot and District Trade Union Council to commemorate International Worker’s Memorial Day. The day is an important date in the trade union movements’ around the world as we all come together to remember those who have lost their lives or suffered serious injury at work, but also to continue the fight to make our workplaces safer and healthier for everyone.

Worker’s Memorial Day 2018 also marks the 40th anniversary of union health and safety reps. Thousands of health and safety reps in Wales work to reduce injuries in the workplace and make the work environment safer.
