It was fantastic to visit Amdani who have been in Cornelly for 20 years, and see all the wonderful work they are doing as a real community hub. They offer free coffee, free sanitary products, a warm space, a meeting place and a charity shop, where you can pick up a range of items for very fair prices.
Amdani also offer a whole host of other community events and help such as emergency food parcels and vouchers, ICT training, craft groups to make a wide range of items (including some genius ways to upcycle plastic into doorstops, draft excluders and even jewellery!), as well as a wide range of other help. Many local people use the building as a meeting point and lots of people volunteer there. Amdani see a footfall of over 300 people per week.
It was a real pleasure to see the wide range of ways they are supporting and strengthening the community in Cornelly, Amdani is a real asset to Cornelly!
