Co-owner Robert Cresci said their unique brand of home made ice cream has been the secret to their success over the past 100 years.

It is vital, particularly in these unprecedented times, that small businesses such as Cresci’s remain at the heart of our communities.

Small businesses will be celebrated throughout the Aberavon constituency and across the UK next month with the launch of Small Business Saturday on Saturday, December 5.

Small Business Saturday, now in its eighth year in the UK, has grown significantly each year.

Event director Michelle Ovens MBE, pictured above, said: “This year our mission to encourage people to support small businesses is more important than ever, given the phenomenally tough time small firms across Wales and the rest of the country are continuing to have.

“Throughout the crisis we have been reminded about what a special and important role small firm’s play in communities like Aberavon and around the UK.

“It’s vital we continue to protect and support them on Small Business Saturday and as this crisis continues.”

In the run up to Small Business Saturday UK, the campaign will kick off an online tour in November virtually visiting more than 33 towns and cities across the UK.
