Delighted to join Margam 1st Girl Guides in Port Talbot Civic Centre to help them with their Skill Builders – Influence Badge.

It was a terrific evening chatting with them about the different levels of government from council to Senedd and Parliament. Myself, David Rees MS, Cllr Stephanie Grimshaw, Cllr Suzanne Paddison, Cllr Laura Williams, the Mayor, Cllr Rob Wood and Mayoress Sylvia John, were all questioned about our roles and it was good to give the Guides an insight into how democracy works. We also heard from the Guides about the different issues that are important to them.
