On Friday I visited The Wallich bus in the town centre. The Wallich offers help to anyone who needs housing-related support. Their Prevention and Wellbeing Support (PAWS) offers personalised accommodation services, access to training, education or voluntary work opportunities, and their dedicated support workers focus on the solutions to achieving independent and sustainable living.

This is a tremendous initiative, helping some of the most vulnerable in our communities, and providing a great source of support. Their bus is really impressive, with facilities for homeless people to have something to eat, a washing machine and shower. The team is really enthusiastic about what they do and making a difference to people’s lives.
